Early one morning, in a leafy suburb of Kuala Lumpur ...
Take a neighbourhood stray dog, an empty house next door, and suddenly I wake up to the doorbell ding-donging madly.
Neighbours are standing at the gate, and I hear words like "puppies", "rolled out onto the road", "crow trying to eat it" - I felt like I was living in an urban version of National Geographic. Talk about birds being predators of dogs.
Anyway I digress. 7 puppies were born under my car. Some people assure me that it's a sign of good fortune, but I guess it depends on whether you are actually saddled with the puppies or not.
Being somewhat of a cat person myself, I am pretty eager to have the puppies adopted. I would send them to an animal shelter, but I'm not 100% convinced that they won't be put down. So here we are at the beginning of an adoption drive for 7 puppies.
Specifics - the pups are now 7 weeks old. They have been weaned, and are now on dry dog biscuits (Bill Jacs are their favourites, but Eukanuba also works in a pinch). They are regular domestic breed (hence "Malaysian terriers"), but they look pretty posh, and not like dingoes at all. They are pretty friendly and are used to humans.
I have 2 cages ready for anyone who wants to take them, and if really needed, you can have my pet voyagers too (that is if you don't mind the fact that my kitty cats have used them before).
To adopt them, please email suling.ung@gmail.com and leave me your contact details, I'll be in touch with you.
Many thanx in advance ... and please do forward this link to anyone whom you think might want to adopt a puppy (or better still, 7).
